About the Project

Paulett Taggart Architects’ Star View Court is Treasure Island's second affordable housing community and is now complete and open to families.

Developed through a collaboration between Mercy Housing and Catholic Charities, the LEED Gold Star View Court provides 138 homes including 94 replacement units for families currently living on the island as well as resident services and amenities including an after-school teen room, a multi-purpose community room, and a variety of spaces to socialize including a landscaped, 2nd-level courtyard.

The project’s name, Star View Court, is in part a tribute to the Star Barracks that once occupied the site when Treasure Island was a military base.

PTA’s design thoughtfully responds to its site with two building wings that address the scale of each frontage: reaching seven stories along busy Seven Seas Avenue and stepping down to four stories with ground-level stoops along the pedestrian and bike-only Shared Public Way. The building wings are linked by a generously glazed community room that faces towards a future park, opens onto a shared courtyard, and forms the heart of this vibrant new community.
