About the Project
UC Davis Orchard Park, a 613-unit housing community in Davis, received a LEED for Homes Platinum rating with guidance from Bright Green Strategies.
UC Davis Orchard Park is a redevelopment of housing built in 1964. This public-private partnership includes 11 residential buildings with 613 units and three amenity buildings serving the student population. Three of the residential buildings and one amenity building are dedicated to families and eight buildings and one amenity building will house graduate students.
Located on the UCD campus, the site is located close to shopping, including Trader Joe’s, bus lines, and the Davis Greenbelt. Special care was/is made during construction to protect the giant oak trees on the site.
